  • Fax server software over a VSAT network :  The PC based fax server has been developed to receive and transmit fax messages in a VSAT network. The software residing at the Hub receives the fax messages from VSATs, decodes destination address automatically and relays to the corresponding destination VSAT.

  • Protocol converter Software :  The Protocol converter converts the Ethernet packets to proprietary satellite protocol called shiron. It has 2 interfaces Ethernet and RS232. It captures the Ethernet packets from the Ethernet LAN and converts them into Shiron Packets and sends to the Satellite Modem via RS 232 port. Similarly it takes Shiron Packets from the Satellite modem and converts them to Ethernet Packets. Built-in routing mechanism identifies the source and destination. By verifying the IP address of the TCP/IP packets.

  • UDP Tx / Rx Software :  The UDP Tx/Rx software is used to transmit files/directory from central location to remote loctions. For this UDP protocol used to transmit data between the central and remote locations. The UDP Tx software on the central system for transmitting a file from central to remote locations. The UDP Tx software will transmit the selected file as UDP Packets. All the remote systems which have the same multi cast IP address, will receive the transmitted UDP packets. At the remote locations the UDP Rx software will receive these UDP packets and recreates the original file.

  • Message Communication Software (POLNET) :  The messaging software shall support X.28 protocol for call establishment through X.3 PAD. Once the call is established , message transmission shall take place there after. After complete transmission of message, the caller shall get an acknowledgement from the destination. The session is established when one DTE device contacts another to request a communication session. The DTE device that receives the request shall issue acceptance . There after , the Two systems begin information transfer. Either DTE device can terminate the connection. After the session is terminated any furhter communication requires the establishment of new session.

  • POLNET Broadcast Software :  The Polnet Broadcast software facilitates sending data files/messages from central location to all police stations in broadcast mode through a VSAT network in packet switching mode.

  • Return Channel Software for APNET :  This software is facilitiates the availability of a return channel can enable data acknowledgement and data request to be sent from the remote sites to the APNET hub. Remote Sites Type 2B in APNET is equipped with a PC and DVB receiver card.

  • SIP Stack Software :  SIP Stack for SIP Client (SSSC) is one of the modules of Subscriber Terminal Secrecy Unit (STSU) to make end- to-end communication using SIP Messages as per RFC 3261. The SSSC implementation contains the APIs for all SIP request Messages like REGISTER, INVITE, CANCEL, BYE, ACK, SDP Payload Parser, timeouts as well as Response Message Generation for end-to-end communication.

  • Digest Authentication as per RFC 2617 for REGISTER Message
  • Call forwarding and third party busy.
  • Processing with single as well as multiple SIP Servers.

  • Subscriber Dynamic Locking System :  The SDLS facilitates STD/ISD locking /unlocking facility for strowger / crossbar exchanges. The entire software for call processing, billing and administration of the system was developed using a MOTOROLA processor.

  • Analysis and Recording Module :  The Analysis and recording module (ARM) is intended to perform Analysis and Recording of intelligence carried by communication signals provided at the IF and audio levels from two independent Receiver channels. Realized as ATR mountable functional modules, ARM is provided with two sets of inputs, either of which can be selected for monitoring or Analysis by a Digital Signal Analyzer and Decoder, the decoded or demodulated outputs are recorded in digital format by digital recorder. This subsystem needs to be realized in VME 64 based Modules suitable for packaging in a ¾ ATR modules.

    ARM can be operated from a server through ethernet LAN using a Command-Response protocol over the TCP/IP. ARM is capable of performing the Coarse analysis, Modulation Classification, Parametere extraction, digital demodulation, code recognition, decoding, recording and replay of input signals.

  • Technique Counter Modulation Generation System :  The Technique Counter Modulation Generator(TCMG), is meant for generating modulated signals with assorted types of modulations and modulating signals in the frequency range of 1.5 MHz to 30 MHz with a resolution of 1 Hz by taking commands from an external controller unit. The system is developed using state of the art technologies like Direct Digital Synthesizer, Programmable Digital Attenuators, Phase locked Oscillators, high stability OCXOs and Digital Signal Processors. The system has the capability of working as a standalone system when the local mode is selected. The high stability reference oscillator output of the system can be used as external reference input to the other systems. The system features very high stability, resolution and response time.

  • Baseband Identification And Detection System :  The “Baseband identification & Detection System (BIDS)” consists of Signal Processing Hardware housed in an industrial – Grade 19” rack mountable PC. The application software on the PC provides the necessary GUI for signal analysis / display of the identified parameters. The IF Signal (455 KHz) is down – converted and analyzed in the digital domain & the demodulation is carried out. The voice signal will be made available at audio port. Digital data will be made available at a data port and also will be stored in a file for storage and off line processing.

  • Digital Audio Recording System :  The four channel digital audio recorder is based on the audio interface card technology developed by ICS indigenously. It converts the analog audio signals into PCM Coded 64 Kbps digital data and stores it in to either a Hard Disk or a Compact Disk depending on the requirement. Each channel of the recorder is independent of the other channels and uses its own interface card. Hence either it can be down scaled to one channel or extended up to 8 channels. Since all the channels are independent of each other, simultaneous recording and replay is possible. Any of the channels can be used for recording or replay. The recorder accepts input from Tape/Microphone.

  • Simulator for Base Band Identification system :  The BIDS Simulator is a PC based system, with a PC add-on card to provide the required functionality for generating the necessary output signals for the data. The system takes the input from the keyboard. This input is in the form of data entered in a Graphical User Interface (GUI) screens for various parameters. The output will be on a monitor to display the data or through a serial interface for the data signals.

  • Voice Band Data Signal Analyser :  The DSP based Data acquisition add-on card is built around dual Tiger SHARC Analog Devices DSPs with 128 MB SDRAM and additional circuitry for input signal interface. The two-channel voice frequency signal is selectable by a switch, controlled by DSP. An audio interface circuit is provided to route the voice frequency signal to headphone for operator listening. The voice frequency signal is also given to A/D converter, which will convert the analog data to its digital equivalent. The digital data is processed by the DSP to carry out the spectral, temporal and statistical analysis, classification of voice, noise, silence or data, identification of voice band data signal modulations and feature extraction. The board also consists of an FPGA to interface the DSP to the rest of the circuitry and communicate with the PCI controller. The card is capable of recording the input voice band signal clip of 60 seconds in a RAM buffer, which is to be analyzed by a separately designed DSP based demodulator card.

  • Design and Development of Base Band Processor module :  The Base Band Processor Module (BPM) generates modulated IF signals and demodulates the received IF signals. The modulated signal can be digitized voice (PCM or VOCODER) or data (Asynchronous or Synchronous). Through this module we can process both NB(Narrow Band) & WB(Wide Band) Signals.The IF is 455 KHz. The types of modulation and demodulation to be supported are :
    • AM (Amplitude Modulation)
    • FM (Frequency Modulation)
    • CPFSK (Continuous phase frequency shift keying)
    • π /4 QPSK (π /4 Shifted, Quadrature Phase Shift Keying)
    The IF bandwidth is 5 KHz or 6.25 KHz or 12.5 KHz or 25 KHz based on data rate of source (voice or data) according to input signal coming from control card (Frequency Hoping). At a given time, only voice or data will be present and the information modulated is either ‘coded voice’ or ‘asynchronous data’ or ‘synchronous data’. In BBP for secure data transfer and reception forward error correction (FEC) and encryption takes place depending upon control signals from control card.
  • Design, Development and Fabrication of Control Processor module :  Control Card, is the master controller for the entire radio. It configures and commands various modules of the radio and provides MMI (user interface) through Front Panel and Remote Control. Its functions/specifications can be listed as follows :
    • Implementing Man Machine Interface (MMI). It includes interfacing Keyboard, Remote Control Unit (RCU) & Fill Gun
    • Configuring the Radio
    • Initiate Built In Test.
    • Provide LEDs / Display for visual indications for status and health of the radio.
    • Implement ECCM (Frequency Hopping scheme) for secure operations.
    Over all control opertions and BIT(Built in Test) are carried out through IIC .
  • Virtual Instrumentation software :  Virtual Instrumentation software has been developed for automatic test equipment to carry out testing of assembled PCBs.

  • Antenna Information Management System :  Antenna Information Management System facilitates searching of the various sub-systems of specified antennas types, specifications, drawings, Auto CAD drawings, Jpeg files, PDF file, cost calculator and Pricing Information. It has a multi user capability with password protection. It was developed for defence requirements.

  • DSP Based Spectrum Analyser:  The FDM Signal Analyzer is a DSP based PC add-on card to display the IF/FDM Base band spectrum on a PC monitor. It aids the operator in determining the FDM signal occupancy and accordingly program the FDM de-multiplexer in the Demux post. It consists of an indigenously developed PC add-on card that can be housed in a commercial-grade/industrial grade PC. This add-on card can be plugged into PCI slot of the PC motherboard. This card will be built around a Digital Signal Processor and consists of an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC), Digital Down Converter (DDC), PCI interface and associated circuitry. The frequency span is IF: 10/5/2.5/1/0.5 MHz (selectable)

  • QPSK Modem :
    • The design and development of state of the art FPGA based QPSK modem for integration with base band DAMA processor system as part of SATCOM DAMA terminal.
    • QPSK Modem will provides modulation and demodulation at 70MHz IF with 5kHz and 25 kHz Bandwidth.
    • It Supports different data 2.88Kbps bps at 5kHz bandwidth and 19200 bps at 25kHz bandwidth.
    • Forward Error Correction will be done at rate ½ and constraint length (k) 7 (Coding and Decoding used are convolution and viterbi).
    • Modem interfaces to UHF SATCOM radios with 70MHz interface.
    • It will provide asynchronous RS422 and RS232 Interfaces for external control.
