C-Band RF front end receiver

RF front end unit comprises of two receiver sections, a transmit section and power supply cum monitor & control (M&C) board. In receiver Section 1, the input signal from either the SUM port of an external directional antenna or an omni antenna is selected using SPDT switch, band pass filtered and then suitably amplified using a low noise amplifier and passed through a micro strip directional coupler. In receiver section 2, the signal from the DIFF port of the directional antenna is band pass filtered, amplified and then Bi phase modulated in a mixer using a square wave reference signal. In the transmit section, the unit couples the transmit signal to the SUM port of directional antenna or omni antenna through a circulator.
